This is one of the easy to moderate level of treks in Dhauladhar mountain range of the outer Himalayas. Most of the time you will be walking in the foothills of Dhauladhar range, passing through several remote tribal villages. We make a few visits to the family houses in the villages and get to know the local culture and tradition.

Dharamsala, the starting point of the trek is a hill station established during British regime in India. It is located on the base of Dhauladhar mountain range. The place also served as a base for the military troops during British period. Attracted by the beauty of the place many European officers started making it their home and this settlement of European was named McLeod Ganj, in the honor of the Late Sir Donald Mcleod, the former Lt. Governor of the province.

  • Day 01
  • Arrival Delhi
    Meet on arrival and transfer to the Hotel.
    Check in with traditional Indian Welcome at hotel.
    Our executive will be present at the hotel, before your arrival to fulfil all check-in formalities. 
    The hotel will serve you a welcome drink – Rose, Lemon water or soft drinks.

  • Day 02
  • Delhi- Pathankot/ Chakki Bank
    After breakfast, proceed for city sightseeing- visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun Tomb, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Parliament House and President’s House.
    Also experience the rickshaw ride through the narrow streets of Chandani Chowk.
    Late Evening: Departure transfer to Delhi Railway Station.
    Depart by Express train to Pathankot/ Chakki Bank

  • Day 03
  • Pathankot/ Chakki Bank – McLeodganj (Upper Dharamsala) (95 KS)
    Meet on arrival at Chakki Bank Railway station and drive to McLeodganj.
    Arrive in Dharamsala and check in to the hotel.
    After breakfast, proceed for half day sightseeing of the town. Visit house and main temple of HH Dalai Lama. Also visit the Norbulingka Institute.

  • Mcleod Ganj (Upper Dharamsala) – Boa Village – Kanol Village (1500 Mts)
    After breakfast drive through the valley for two hours to reach Boa village, the starting point of the trek. From Boa village which is situated on the bank of a River, there is a steep ascent for about 02 hours to reach Batuni village. After spending some time here with the local family walk through the lush green fields to reach Kanol village. Pitch the tent here.

  • Kanol- Kareri Village
    After breakfast, start trekking towards Kareri village. A steep climb though many villages reach Kareri village. Pitch the tent here and after having lunch, explore the surroundings.

  • Kareri to Bahl village
    After breakfast, a gradual walk uphill and downhill reach Rawa village which is situated on the banks of River Rawa.  A steep ascent from here leads to Bahl village.
    Arrive and pitch the tent near a stream. The area is home to Himalayan birds. After getting fresh, take a round of the area for bird watching.

  • Bahl to Triund
    After breakfast, walk for an hour on the steep slope to reach Galu Temple. Halt for a short Maggie and tea break hereas the next 03 hours will be gradual ascent to Triund through mixed forests.
    Triund is an alpine meadow atop a ridge which offers superb view of snowy peaks of Dhauladhar on one side and Kangra Valley on the other.

  • Triund –Khabrotu-Kual Pathari-Triund
    After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to have closer view of the peaks of Dhauladhar range and Laka Glacier. After an hour walk upto Khabrotu, take sides walk on top of the ridge to a small Hindu Temple. 
    Later walk back to our camp at Triund

  • Triund-Laheta- Bhagsu Nag- Mcleod Ganj (Upper Dharamsala) (3 KS)
    After breakfast, start the trek which is a downhill walk with beautiful view of the snow-covered peaks of Dhauladhar on one side and the valley on the other. The trek ends at Bhagsu Nag village from where it is a short drive to McLeodganj. Arrive and check in to the hotel.

  • McLeodganj (Upper Dharamsala) – Simla (242 KS)
    After early breakfast, drive to Shimla.
    Arrive Shimla and check in to hotel
    After wash and change, walk through the Mall Road.

  • Shimla
    After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of the town- visit Jakhu temple, Gaiety Theatre and Ridge Road.
    If time permits, visit Kufri and Naldhera.
    Naldhera is famous for most sporting golf courses set amidst thick forest. It was laid by Lord Curzon in 1903.Kufri is a favourable place for winter sport activities and offers an excellent view of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Pir Panjal Range and Shivalik range from a height.

  • Simla- Kandaghat- Kalka-Delhi
    After breakfast, transfer to Simla Railway Station.
    Depart by Kalka- Simla Toy Train (listed in UNESCO World Heritage site) to Kandaghat.
    Arrive in Kandaghat and drive to Kalka.
    Evening: Depart by Kalka Shatabdi Express train to Delhi.
    Arrive and check in to the hotel.

  • Delhi – Home
    After breakfast, proceed for the city sightseeing- visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun Tomb, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Parliament House and President’s House.
    Also experience the rickshaw ride through the narrow streets of Chandani Chowk.
    After farewell dinner, departure transfer to the International Airport of Delhi.
