Membership Details

Ministry of Tourism

The Ministry of Tourism is the nodal agency for the formulation of national policies and programmes and for the co-ordination of activities of various Central Government Agencies, State Governments/UTs and the Private Sector for the development and promotion of tourism in the country. This Ministry is headed by the Union Minister of State for Tourism.

The mentioned agency certifies or recommends any Travel Agency or Tour Operator after full filing certain terms and conditions. Like proper office space with clean toilet, number of working staff, list of board of directors, certificate of incorporation from Government of India etc… Every year, Ministry of Tourism check the records and finances and clients feedback of the approved Travel Agencies, in order to renew the approval.

Time to time, Ministry of Tourism organises the meetings, conferences, seminars for tour operators to maintain and improve the quality of services.


IATO

The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) is the National body of the tourism industry. It has over 1500 members covering all segments of Tourism Industry. Established in 1982, IATO today has international acceptance, and linkages.

It has close connections and constant interaction with other Tourism Associations in US, Nepal and Indonesia, where USTOA , NATO and ASITA are its member bodies; and is increasing its international networking with professional bodies for better facilitation to the International traveler visiting not only India but the entire Region.

IATO has five categories of membership: Active, Allied, Associate, International and Honorary. All its active members are recognized and approved by the Indian government's Department of Tourism and have at least three years experience of handling International Tourists to India, before being added to the IATO fraternity.


ATOAI

Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) lists all the Adventure Destinations in India. ATOAI works on a mission to promote adventure tourism in India. Its prime objective is to create awareness overseas about the vast potential of adventure tourism in India.

The organisation certify very specific travel agent to help to promote adventure tourism in India. Under the list we make coordination between Adventure Lovers (Tourist) Travel Agents / Tour Operator and other supplier like resort / Hotel / Techniqual suppliers.

Time to time The organisation check the status of travel agent to maintain the quality and serve better to the tourist.


IMF

Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) as an apex national body, has the objective of organising, supporting and providing a base for expeditions for mountaineering, skiing, rock climbing, trekking at high altitudes and to promote, encourage, support and execute schemes for related adventure activities and environmental protection work in the Himalaya.

IMF co-ordinates climbing in the Indian Himalaya, organizes national and international conferences, training / environment-cleaning camps and climbing competitions. IMF is closely associated with the Ministries of Sports, Home, Defence, Tourism and Environment of the Government of India. Foreigners can climb mountain peaks in India after obtaining the required clearances.

The organisation certifies much selected travel agent or Tour operator to provide services for Mountaineering in Indian Himalayas. After the long procedure to provide and renewal of membership.


TOFT (Tiger)

Oriental Bliss Tours (P) Limited, dedicatedly support to save the tigers and other wild life in the country. We support that organisation, who is positively working to save our wildlife and maintain eco systems.

TOFTiger is one of such organisations, who work responsibly towards saving tigers.

✔ To advocate and support better tourism practices in wilderness areas, with specific guidelines for operators, service and accommodation providers and visitors. Look out for the TOFT signs and PUG ratings.

✔ To empower local communities to become involved in wildlife tourism projects and initiate low impact and sustainable development which helps conserves the parks and benefits the communities through employment and business opportunities.

✔ To catalyse initiatives through the lodge community that enhance wildlife conservation and community support, including waste and water management, trade cooperatives, local employment, fair wages and local enterprises and services.


Delhi Tourism

Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation, an undertaking of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, was incorporated in 1975 to promote tourism in Delhi. The organisation helps to improve the services in Delhi, as Delhi is the hub for tourist. Delhi is the main arrival centre for Himachal Pradesh / Ladakh / Uttarakhand / Rajasthan including Varanasi and other hundred of destinations.

Delhi Tourism also organises many travel fairs and events for tourist in Delhi city. They certify very selected travel agent after the long formalities to maintain the quality and serve better to the tourist. Delhi Tourism comes directly under Ministry of Tourism (Delhi Government)
