  • Delhi – Bharatpur (198 KS)
Early morning drive to Bharatpur. Bharatpur is also known as Lohagarh, for its Fort which stood solidly in front of many British attacks.
Arrive and check in to the hotel.
After getting fresh, proceed for Keoladeo Ghana National Park - Famous for its (water) birds, Keoladeo was once the duck hunting lodge of Maharajas and the best duck shooting resort in the British Empire.
Later on the duck shooting was banned here by the government and it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985 after being upgraded to National Park in 1981.
Some 375 species of birds have made this national park their home so far. Among these are the rare Siberian Cranes as well. The park is an important wintering place for birds from colder areas in the North, like Siberia and China.
