  • Arrival Delhi
    Meet on arrival and transfer to the hotel.

  • Day 02
  • Delhi - Chandigarh - Manali
    After bed tea and cookies, departure transfer to Delhi Railway Station
    Depart by Shatabdi express train to Chandigarh
    Arrive in Chandigarh and drive to Manali.
    Manali is situated at the height of 2500 Mts. along the River Beas. Covered by Deodar trees, it is one of the oldest destinations in the Himalayas. It is also called Gateway of Ladakh.

  • Day 03
  • Manali
    After breakfast, visit the Hadimba Devi temple- a Pagoda styled shrine in the midst of deep cedar forest; and natural hot springs in Vashisht- a tiny locale situated on the banks of the River Ravi.
    Walk to the Old Manali village and explore unique architecture of Himachal Pradesh. 
    Post lunch, drive to Naggar, the erstwhile capital of Kullu. Visit the Naggar Castle and Roerich Art Gallery. The gallery is dedicated to Sir Nicholas Roerich.
    Later drive back to Manali.

  • Manali – Lamadugh (2994 Mts)
    After breakfast, start the trek from Hadimba temple through the Dedar forest to a rocky crop with a view of Manali. First a steep ascent through small pastures and oak forest and then walking at a gentle gradient reach the camp at Lamadugh.

  • Day 05
  • Lamadugh – Riyali (3300 Mts)
    After breakfast and with packed lunch, follow the trail descending through the ridge below Tanpari Tibba. From here there is a clear view of Solang Nala and Rohthang Valleys. The ascent is long, gradual and exhilarating, with views opening across to the Hamta Valley and Deo Tibba. 
    After reaching the highest point of the ridge, there is a long descent through the oak forest heading towards Riyali.
    Arrive and pitch the tent.

  • Day 06
  • Riyali – Kali Yahni Base Camp (4480 Mts)
    After breakfast and with packed lunch, follow the uphill trail to the ridge and then trek down to the valley floor. After walking for 02 hours, cross a small stream, a few shepherd establishments and a series of grassy ridges and reach Kali Yahni base camp. There are fine views east wards of the Chandrakhani Pass and the peaks of the Himalayan range.

  • Kali Yahni Base Camp – Dhanku Thach via Kali Yahni Pass (4640 Mts)
    After breakfast and with packed lunch, trek towards Kali Yahni pass. The landscape slowly begins to change as forests and meadows give way to rocky background with patches of snow.It is a steep, long pull up to the top of Kali Yahni pass, 4610m. Across the broad glacier and down the moraine and then to the valley, reach Dhanku Thach and camp by a stream.

  • Day 08
  • Dhanku Thach – Lomba Parao (3132 Mts.)
    After breakfast, start trekking towards Lomba Parao. A long traverse on the ridge along the main stream with some ups and downs, including crossing of small glacial streams, lead to Lomba Parao.
    Arrive and pitch the tent.

  • Day 09
  • Lomba Parao – Dadh Marhi (3850 Mts.)
    After breakfast and with packed lunch, trek towards Dadh Marhi. Walk downhill for approximately 02 hours across the loose rocks and boulders. Then climb for half an hour to cross a stream, further half an hour uphill walk and then an easy walk to reach the camp in a lovely grass meadow.
    Arrive and pitch the tent.

  • Day 10
  • Dadh Marhi – Bara Bhangal (2524 Mts)
    After breakfast and with packed lunch, start walking towards Bara Bhangal following the similar terrain as the previous day along the side of the hill looking out across the valley. A long and gradual descent leads to village of Bara Bhangal. The trail takes you through a forest of silver birch, rhododendron and blue pine.
    Arrive and check in to a rest house.

    After breakfast, day is free to explore the surroundings.

  • Day 12
  • Bara Bhangal – Madh (3656 Mts)
    After breakfast, cross the bridge over the river flowing from the Kali Yahni pass and commence a steep ascent. Cross a broad glacial valley and then follow a gradual ascent across open meadows and steep slopes. Ascend the trail to the right of the waterfall before crossing the river to a series of meadows referred to as Madh.
    Arrive and pitch the tent. The camp offers fine views of Mani Mahesh and Pir Panjal Range.

  • Day 13
  • Madh – Panhartu via Thamsar Pass
    After breakfast and with packed lunch, follow the trail gradually climbing up the valley; pass a prominent side valley and glacier to the east. After walking for 03-04 hrs climb steep boulder fields to reach a glacial lake. A further steep trail and another glacial lake lead to the base of the Thamsar Pass.
    After crossing snowfield, follow the ridgeline which is the crest of Dhaula Dhar Range and Thamsar Pass. A steep descent from the pass leads to a glacial lake. Walk further to a steep descent meadow at Panhartu. Arrive and pitch the tent.

  • Panhartu – Palachak (2770 Mts.)
    After breakfast, follow a well defined trail descends across a series of snow bridges. The trail traverses through a mixed forest of rhododendron, spruce and oak trees and leads to Palachak.
    During summer the dhaba (a small hotel) at Palachak remains open where one can have tea and basic food.

  • Palachak – Billing (2400 Mts.) – Bir (15 KS)
    After breakfast and with packed lunch, cross the metal bridge at Palachak and enter the forest. Follow the trail amidst forest to reach the fields of corn, bean and potatoes near Rajgundha. From Rajgundha take the trail next to Uhi Valley through spruce, oak and rhododendron forest.
    Walk for 04-05 KS to reach Billing. After saying goodbyes to the porters and the lovely ponies drive to Bir.
    Arrive and check in to the hotel.

  • Bir – Gaggal Airport (Dharamsala) (66 KS) – Delhi
    After breakfast, drive to Gaggal Airport.
    Fly to Delhi. Arrive and transfer to the hotel.
    After getting fresh, day is free to explore the local bazaars.

  • Delhi - Home
    After breakfast, day is free to relax.
    Post farewell dinner, departure transfer to Delhi International Airport.
    Fly back home.
